Special Edition Vehicles - On an LS1 Firehawk, IROC or High Rise Spoiler?

Just curious to see what everyone's opinions were. I was thinking on picking one up (IROC) to have. I'd still keep my high rise in storage...

i voted iroc because thats what i have. i think it looks better on the pewter cars. on ur car i would probably stick with the high rise. i think it looks better. just my .02.

Looks fine to me, but I'm just a big fan of the standard high rise.

I like the IROC, probably because they are differnt. You should add the lumpy spoiler to the poll

I think the iroc spoiler would look like a regular formula hatch on your black car. If it was a different color then it might stand out more. Where can you pick up a lumpylump spoiler?

I forgot to add ole lumpy. :emb: I don't know how to edit to add another poll option. I'm not really a fan of it anyway.

Yeah, seeing your Firehawk in person is what made me think about it. Pictures just don't do the IROC justice. Your car was an exact clone of mine except for the spoiler.
After we put the 3.73's in your car and I was following you around looking for a place to run, I saw it from all angles over 10 minutes... I loved the way the brake lights looked when they lit up.

I agree that it would look just like a V-6 spoiler on a black car.

Well i can tell you it doesnt, i had one it looks much better. The LED light bar will give that away.

I like the high rise best...the IROC from the side doesn't look that great, but from behind it looks good.....as far as 'OL LUMPY goes..he should go back where he came from. :jest:

Where are you going to purchase it from?
I was thinking about putting one on my 96 Formula WS6 three years ago, but they were a nice chunk of change.

If it's on a Trans Am you just unbolt the top half of the hatch, but since you have a Formula, you'll need to get a T/A hatch fist and then bolt the IROC in place of the high rise.

Question for you guys I have a formula with the low spoiler instead of spending close to a grand for a Iroc spoiler swap do you think a good body man could just fiberglass the long third brake light in there. I really like the look but not at the price tag it would be for me.

The time and labor would be through the roof. Not only make a perfect cutout (if possible) but also have mounting fixtures and I'm not sure what kind of wiring (if any) would be needed.
I'd buy the bottom portion of the Trans-Am hatch and sell the Formula hatch to cover most of the cost, and you can buy the IROC. If it was me that's what I'd do. ~Joshua

50/50 split, but I voted for the traditional spoiler! Why?
After much arguing w/self, I decided the extra $700 was too much, and I really wanted the T/A raised spoiler. However, for rarity and sleeper looks, probably a wrong decision. The light array is just sick at night!
If I had the chance, I'd pickup an ole' lumpy if I could find one in excellent condition.

After having both I would say I prefer the iroc. Too me it seems to be have more class. Looks like something off a porshe. BUT, If most T/A's had the iroc spoiler and then one day you see one with the high rise, It would look pretty damn awesome. I guess I prefer the iroc simply because It is different.
