97 LT1 starting issues

97 LT1 starting issues I have a 97 LT1 and once the key is inserted and the ignition is turned on all the dash lights come on as normal except the odometer when turned to the strat position nothing happens. The radio will not work at all and the odometer reads balnk but all other lights come on. In addition I can hear the fuel pump start up or any noise under the hood. I thought something maybe wrong with my key so I had a new one cut at the stealership and same problem. Any sugggestions as to where to go next will be GREATLY APPRECIATED!!! Thanks in advance.
**BTW it is a 6-speed if it matters, and the security light comes on as normal then goes out.

I'm lost on this one. I've never heard this combination of symptoms. It's not VATS or the ignition switch mechanism. Do you have another computer to swap in? The odometer being blank is very odd.
