Default Why my th400 is bleeding oil like crazy when driving

Need help

I rebuild my CJ7 79 from scratch. Frame, Suspension, overall the engine, body, etc. etc..

I put back the Transmission (TH400) and T-Case (QT) without touching them. They were working fine before I tear the jeep apart.

Now, when driving, the Th400 is bleading oil through the dip stick. I have to fill up the tranny every 1-2 km.. so I am not driving it anymore to avoid damage...

What is causing this.. Do I need to ovehaul the Tranny? Is there some troubleshooting I can do without removing the Trans.

I am a bit deseperate!.

Thanks

Dan

Default oil

dan, where does your trans have extra oil? l have a feeling your tc is not filling, or it is so hot the hot oil has more pressure then the charge pressure. drive it in second and see if oil still comes out the tube.

I did try, in first and second. And ho, by the way, It goes from one, second and third speed very fast...

Also, the tranny is not overfilled.
