Default Did some undercoating..awesome stuff

I finally got my car back after a long time and decided to start putting some undercoating on it to clean it up a bit and protect it at the same time. Bought some stuff at my local paint store called gravitex. I have to admit that I like it a lot. The thing is you can only use one paint gun made specifically for it and they made me buy 3 bottles in order to get the gun free . It's a bit messy though but the end result, I like . Well anyways, here are some pics of what I've done.

I taped up a good majority of the car, especially the front. The overspray from the gun is insane . Enjoy

Cool, I would think that should keep you rust proof for quite a while.

I hope so. We had a friend do the body work and he removed a lot of it so we're hoping . Just can't wait to get it running

I was always skeptical about undercoatings because I didn't want one that dried and was still gummy or whatever. But we went to the paint store and they had a sample spray sheet of it and decided to try it out. I've spent about $100 on this stuff already . I recommend it to anybody.

I wonder if it quiets down the cabin any. Kind of like a sound deadening effect.

Looks pretty cool... I think the undercarriage would have looked better black though... Is it a tintable paint? How does it compare with POR15?

Looks good, if the friend owned a body shop...I woulda asked to use their rotissory for the car and spun it around and painted makin it easier on you...I would imagine the tip of the gun is 2.2mm right? None the less you gonna paint over it, or leave it that color?

RollTideta - Funny thing is it is black. I guess it just looks different because of the sun or camera or something. As far as comparing it with POR15, I've never seen a personal sample of that stuff so I wouldn't be able to tell you.

XXXtransam - Yeah, I realized that once i went under the car . Even just a lift would've been better. But I have to do with what I have available to me and that was my only option . The underside and the frame I am going to leave it the way it is. For some reason to me, it gives it an original kind of feel and a real clean look so I'm going to stick with it .
