Default Comp Cams XFI 242/248

I was wondering if anyone has already had any experience with comp cams new XFI cams but more in particular with the XFI 242/248. If so what kind of numbers were you making with it and what are ya'lls mods along with the cam.

ANY FEEDBACK WOULD BE GREATLY APPRECIATED,
1SICSS THANKS

Good luck, I couldn't find any info on these cams. I finally found one guy running the 280XFI and bought it instead of the XR282HR on a 112 LSA. They've been out since late '04, and still no info.

I just installed a 280 XFI, and like you I have not been able to find anything on the XFI series.

FWIW, the RPM range that the specs of that cam are made for and the lobes don't go well together. It would be really hard to control the valves to get any benefit out of that.

Does the same go for the 280XFI? 230/236 .594/.588 (1.65) 113 LSA

That is setup for a lower RPM range so the durations work better with the max speed you run... so your not as bad as the larger 242/248 cam.

GMR Speed installed the 230/236 XFI cam into a 383ci with only a few mods, and stock heads. The car made 365rwhp and 395rwtq. The car idled perfectly after installing the cam (tuned of course).
