Helm Inc (publisher of the official GM manuals), $135
http://www.helminc.com/helm/product2...T0B3GPHGBND3M9
They occasionally put them on sale.

The Helm manuals are more than worth the dough, to me.
Now another short-term-cheaper option is AllDataDIY, a
subscription service that has as part of it the manuals
online. But I find the paper books and Post-It notes for
tabs beat the hell out of online / on-screen documents
(unless you have Ethernet in the garage, like). I got the
3-volume standard set plus the engine and transmission
blue manuals (never cracked those, yet).

It was posted in another thread that didn't really relate to it, and so hadn't got any reply after a couple of days, so I split it off into a separate thread

Yes, in addition to diagrams, the manuals have step-by-step diagnostic procedures and illustrated repair instructions.

the Helms manual is better than the GM Service Information system IMO.

The helm manual is the best possible investment you can make if you're going to keep the car.
