Anybody ever heard of this???
A hyper grounding system?
A freind of mine (who is an import guy) was telling me how he installed this grounding box system thingy (for lack of better words) and it gave him like 12-15hp. I kinda thought about it for a while and was like "that is some bullshit man".
We them proceded to look it up on the internet and it explained how it grounds the electronics better which provides the spark plugs with a more pure and powerful spark, as well as allowing the flow of electricity to flow more efficiently.
Is this some ricer thing or is it an actual, viable, worth while mod?

I gave myself a "Stranger" the other day. I wish I knew how to relate that to this hyper grounding box... but I can't...........
It is important to make sure all your grounds are good... and its good to not have ground loops (usually relating to multiple stereo grounds) to keep noise down... but does the box add anything? Not unless he had some bad grounds and this fixed them.
Time better spent with the "stranger"

Like Cory said, IF you have a ground problem, then yes you might benefit. If you have a HUGE stereo, you might need it for sound clarity. But 12hp? No way. Now if you were driving a funny car, and you gave your twin magnetos a better ground, you might see a small gain, but I don't think the amount of current a normal ignition system draws is enough to create an issue.
For instance, the new MSD coils for LS1s are supposed to have much higher current output with multiple spark. Have you seen ANYONE report a gain? If the answer was yes, then Ryan & I & others would be using them. The stock electronic ignition is a pretty efficient setup.
And I wish my wife would let me have a "Stranger"! Lucky man Cory.....

I love my LS1, but even in my auto bone stock 121,000 mile LT1 the low end torque is f-cking awesome!! Hey the opti can't be that bad, it gives me a good excuse to spend some time in the garage!
