There's a bolt that goes into the block, a little above and maybe 3" forward of the oil filter (not the 2 bolts right above the filter) - anyone know what it is? It's small, maybe 10-12mm. Looks like a plug since it doesn't seem to be holding anything together. If it is a plug I'd like to put a sensor there.

Yank it and see if oil comes out. Then you can adapt it for oil pressure/temp <img border="0" title="" alt="[Wink]" src="gr_images/icons/wink.gif" />
Personally, I yanked the piece with the 2 bolts that you mentioned, and installed a sender there, using the corvette replacement (corvettes have oil temp sensors right there, I just bought one, used a brass adapter, and put in my autometer sender, and then bolted it back on).

It's not the cross bolt for the main cap is it? <img border="0" title="" alt="[Confused]" src="images/icons/confused.gif" />
