I got my last goal...before I broke NA yesterday!
Got my 1.49 60' on my bfg 345/30/18s.....
Seems they like 160-180 deg F for optimal traction I had Jeff from CAM read my tires after my burnouts to see what was what....right at 185 deg:thumbs:
I got 4 1/2 runs in today....3rd & OD is gone in the tranny.
Limped home 58 miles at 50 mph@4000 rpms...
oil temp max of 295
max trans temp 228
max coolant 214
After 5 track rentals, 160+ 1/4 mile slips, 2 trips to SC, 1 trip to BG and over 10,000 hard miles I am still
Here is the 1.49 launch at 16psi hot
and a 1.72 @ 18 psi hot
And attached is the slip
Not to bad for one of my street set-ups I can drive any place in DRY weather and to the track.
I have also gotten 1.49 60' on MT ET Street radial in a 275/40/17. I was getting ready to throw those on next when the trans went. Could have had a 1.45
At least I got home AND I have 2 other C5s to go flog while this one is in the upgrade mode
I will soon become a driveline R&R expert
