congrads man....i gotta get your 60' done haha and maybe ill have a chance to get at your 12.5....im trying to make 11's with bolt ons and limited weight reduction so well see how close i can get...so far i think if i get pullies, ported throttle body, some light suspension work done and mickey thompson e/t radials that i have a good chance at a low 12 mayb/hopefully 12.0 or 11.xx well see it should take me bout month or 2 to get it done......but all in all congrads on the times and dont worry bout the other cars...the higher the gear in the car and the lower the 60' the lower the mph usually

jus my .02

I'll agree with the gear theory But not totally, I had 273's in my old 99 and i was running 13.3 at 107 2.0 60' and hes running 12.5's at 107, I switched out to 3:73's and a 3300 stall converter and i was still the same 13.3 at 107 2.0 60'. so i dont know.

Would taking the 3.73s out and putting 3.23's be a bad move you think....there are several 11 sec cars with 2.73 and 3.23 gears?????

with that trap i think you're capable of high 12.2s at best, you may not have enough converter for that even. 12.3 is what i would shoot for, your 60' should be about .15 quicker..

get some tires!

I think that trap is what bothers me most. ...I have been tuned and i got 375/357 on the dyno. I know that my 60' would get a few more tenths, but everyday there is someone with way less mods running 12.5's at 109+ MPH...im just so damn confused

My trap is what is really bothering me the most It seems every day there are guys runnin quicker et's and more MPH than me.....and im cammed. Im sure i have a few more tenths left in the 60',but how could a bolt on car with same rear gears and no stall or cam trap 111???? Im so pissed at my car....

usually a bolt on car with the stock stall will trap .5-1mph faster than a stalled car with the same mods. how heavy is your car? i can trap almost 110 on a good day with just (engine mods) a lid, ls6 intake, headers + true duals, but it always results in a slower ET. where is your car shifting? i think i'd get a second opinion on the tune..

that's not a huge cam, but i agree that you should see a better trap.

Cars shifting at 6400, and i do think weight is playin a big factor in my traps now that you mention it. The car was bought at stock weight of course, and i have only added weight to it. The TTII's are heavier than stock, still had spare tire and jack in car, still have front sway bar on. 10" sub and amp, and i know that all my UMI suspension HAS to be heavier than stock(damn torque arm is twice as heavy ) and the kicker....im 6'4" and weigh 303 pounds(i powerlift so im not obese ). So that would almost if not make my TA over 4000 pounds

yeah, i bet your raceweight has A LOT to do with your trap speed / car's overall performance. weight does wonders in these things, man..

if you're curious as to your car's performance, i'd start by putting stock wheels back on it (if you have them or can use some for free), remove all of your stereo **** that isn't factory and try it again. i'm right at 3,750 (i weigh 200 lbs) with a full weight car. it weighed 3,480 BONE STOCK with a full tank of gas in it. the only extra weight i can think of: sub-frames, cast tranny pan, cast rear dif cover, LCAs..and i trap what you do. eliminate the variables and try it again before you throw in the towel.

you're a big mf'er so don't take this the wrong way, but...your weight does make a difference, too.
