Larry, yours would be the first one I have heard of, if it is indeed the True trak. How much power do you have? Bob

Larry, keep us updated on what you find. I'm curious as to how much power you're putting down.

It will be the evening of the 20th before I get completely apart. I am putting down 440 rwhp on a Mustang Dyno. I have about 4k miles and 17 passes on the rear.Everything in the rear was brand new. I will post pic's too.

I did cut 4 1.6x's 60ft with the car on 275/40/17 Mt Et street radials.

I will be happy if something beside the posi is broken I do not look forward to going thru the warrenty dance with Eaton/Detroit.

A loose/broken piece of metal went thru the gears in the posi.No I do not know what I am still looking for any other broken parts.

2 small chips on the side gear spacer.

1 small chip on the passanger side gear.

Lots of fine metal grit.

I am going to clean the crap out of it and put it back together just like it is unless an expert tells me not to.

Little more info.

Driver side axle notice the wear pattern.Looks like the axle is going completely thru the side gear by about 1/4 inch.

Oil and crap in the bottom of the 9 inch housing itself.
