Default 106K Too High For High Stall Converter?...

Just a quick question for you automatic experts!...I just bought a '99 with 106,000 miles on the clock...My question is do you think that is too high mileage to consider a 3,200-3,600 converter and cooler?...It was something I was thinking of doing with tax returns next year, MAYBE...It will be getting the occasional 1/4mi runs and the occasional WOT runs on the road just to clean her out, nothing crazy...Right now, the trans is my biggest concern with the car but it at gentle and WOT shifts it shifts just fine...At medium acceleration it does seem to shift a bit strange sometimes...But something is telling me that the converter should wait until I have the money for a tranny rebuild/refresh just to be safe...What do you guys think??...Thanks!...

I would definitely wait. I put in a 3440/1.8 TC about a year ago with 110k+ and the car is in the shop now having the tranny rebuilt.

I would wait. Better to replace the tranny now than to replace the tranny and (maybe) converter later.
