Default Exhaust tip restricts flow?

Hi. I just bought these tips from ebay:

http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eB...tem=8046654249

Now, I have a borla catback already installed on my 00 WS6. The exhaust shop I went to have these tips welded up told me that they were too small. They said it would restrict ALOT, and it would even sound different. Does this seem true to you guys? Please help

I don't know if they will restrict, maybe, but they sure do look heavy and they certainly are unnecessary.

So are C6 rims.

Anyway, I think they look sweet! Two 2-3/8" is plenty. Your I-pipe only moves about 80% of what those would flow together. Plus the exhaust gas has cooled down by the time it hits the tips, and doesn't push as many CFM.

I think they look great too.

...lol the C6 rims were not necessary and they are heavier than stock but they also bring increased performance by allowing for larger tires. Big honker tips actually take away from performance but if somebody likes the way they look then by all means go for it.

.....Sorry for being Mr Negative

They have 2.25" inlet sizing which is why the shop thought they might be restrictive. Unless your making 450 rwhp ... forgetaboutit.

Get the tips if you like them and run with the cutout open if you are concerned with the flow.
