converter: how big? I want to go to a bigger converter, but I知 not sure how big. I am running a 3200 yank right now, but it is not performing well anymore, and I知 thinking it is too small for my big cam. I'm building the car to be street/strip. How big of a stall should I get, and what kind of converter? Car info is in sig and mpg is not a concern.

If its 240+ I would go a 4000 stall. Around a F13 or 230 3600. Anything less then a 3200. TOrque converters take well to a properly setup trans. The issues you are describing sound like problems with the tranny tune. No converter will take those problems away - just make them worse.

really??? my car is not daily drivin, and i definitely want to go big. You don't have any problems driving with that big of a stall? I was goin to maybe go to a 4000, but if your are tellin me your daily driving a 5100 i might just go even bigger.

My car gets a little loud in parking lots, cause i basically have open headers and a spool so if i turn the wheel all the way and try to move it kind of sounds like i'm stalling it up. but thats cause of the spool.
