Default Is this a fair price?

I found a 98 formula for sale. The car has 62,xxx and is all stock except for the !cags. He was asking 11,750 I offered him 10,500 then we agreed on 10,750. I went on kelly blue book and even in excellent condition they are saying around 8,500 The car is black and really needs some work on the paint, he hasn't waxed it in two years. Do you think I am over paying?

bring in a print out of kbb pages and try and knock it down to 9 due to the paint or even 9.5

If we already agreed on a price then you come back and try to lowball me for whatever reason, I would tell you to take a hike, no offense. If the paint is that bad why didn't you say something about it the first time you were talking to the owner?

Yeah he most likely will not go any lower since he knows that you alreayd agreed on a higher price and that price is acceptable to you or you would pay it so there is no point in going lower on his side. Just the way he will see it or I would if I were selling. Once you agree its very hard to still get the price down. BTW KBB is b.s when it comes to these cars they have a rarity aspect which KBB doesnt integrate. KBB is just an equation nothing more or less.

Save your money and find a better deal. I drove over 200 miles to get my pristine one owner SS with every factory option(M6 too) and paid only 9,600.
