Default Pictures of exhaust with V-band clamps

im gonna be having a custom Y pipe made and i was told that V-band clamps with the flanges is the best seal. does anyone have some pics of a exhuast set up with these id like to see. thanks

Nice idea. Those clamps are pretty pricey though. $75 each?

Band clamps worked perfect for me.

But if you go with those be sure to post back up how they worked out for you.

i dunno my band clamps leak alot still so maybe i need new ones of a diffrent brand

Meh, my band clamps leak too. I've only seen one pic of a guy on here that had his exhaust fabbed up with V-band clamps, and I have no idea who it was or where the pics went. Looked pimp though.

If I had to do it over again, I'd do the V-bands. But for the hassle, I'm not gonna mess with it.

That's only the clamp. You also need the weld-on ferrules.

V band exhaust systems rock! Talk about easy to work with. You can literally dissassember your entire exaust in probably under 2 minutes if you used a cordless drill. There are no slip fittings, everything butts together. If I ever build another exhaust I'm gonna pony up the cash for those little jewels.
