Yeah.........um...........she said the SES light came on the other day. She don't know how to check to see what codes are being thrown either, so now I'll have to check that out when I get home. :eek2: :bang: I hope its nothing serious. I doubt it is!

But I would love to get her out in a safe environment to open that thing up. She hates it when she's in the passanger seat and I go WOT. Its funny as hell to watch her sink in the seat..........and the best is when I stab the throttle when she isn't prepared and she goes flying back in the seat. :jest:

Did you guys know that when you bought it?

No we didnt know it when we bought it. Heck we only have had the car for 3 weeks now. front two Rod bearings went ( the #2 Bearing wasnt even in the engine it was in the oil pan) the #2 Connecting rod is cracked & bent to heck, Crank is gone but the rest of the engine is fine. unsure of the block, Plus it will still have to go to the machine shop to get cleaned up & inspected. cant afford that right now.

Not happy about this so we are ordering a long block somewhere if we can find a good one for a good price. Right now we are looking at a 350/ 290 HP Long block for $1700 out of Sallee- Chevrolet in Oregon. With any luck Dan will take tonight off & run down tomorrow to pick it up. Cant get it cheaper than 1900 here in washington state.
We are turning this car in to a show car. already have the new dress up kit on its way.

That sux about all the problems........but at least you know it will be all good when you are done fixing it. :)

Now that I think of it, I haven't had the car at the track since Ellis tuned it... it was not running right before, so it was a couple tenths off. So hopefully it's at least right back where it was at it's peak, or maybe better. :)

Well we didnt go down to Sallee but we got the new engine here (went down to the local Chevy dealer & pick on up for less than what it would have cost us in gas to make it over to central oregon) It is a GM Performance Parts special lol 350 with 290 hp is what the block is rated at right now. But some of the parts from the old engine are going on it like the heads & the intake ( both edlebrocks) we are right now looking at new carbs for it. Looking at the Edlebrock 1406 but have to do some look in to it.

My thoughts exactly! My car seems to be ready - the line lock works fine (black marks all over the neighborhood) and the car feels STRONG, so I should be able to come help. I got a new BFH too! :devil:

If you don't have a trailer to pay for, drive to Bremerton, ride ferry back (only car + driver fees) is the way to go. At least if you live in Edmonds :)

Need to dial it in I had a hose off last time out and it was throwing MAF codes and running like crap. :bang: I have over 2,000 miles on it now and it runs great. :) Mark I plan on leaving early Satuday and maybe we can meet at the Shell on 4th again. Ellis if you go I'll bring those relays you need. Hope to see everyone out at the track it will be fun. :drive:

Well, you don't torque it with the impact. ;) I have a big expensive torque wrench for that (which I'll also be bringing for anyone that wants to use it)... I just use it to get the lugs off, and get the lugs on to 'snug', then torque 'em with the torque wrench to 100 ft/lbs tight.

Oh, & I will be driving around Tyler. ($80 for the ferry)

Based on your and EJ's responses I might just drive in the morning then as a better plan. I just hate putting on those miles, when I already commute a ton of miles during the week. Still might take the ferry back at the end of the day though.

I'm gonna try and show up early afternoon. May go in the morning if I can get the oil changed and brake pads put on friday night at the shop.

We are thinking about bringing the dogs with since it is Bremerton and we could park farther away from the strip. Either way you can bet that Mark will be there. You would think they would let trailers and big rigs go at a reduced rate in order to save them from polluting the world.

This is a great response. I recommend that you think ahead about parking areas as this will likely be a busy day at Bremerton. The track opens for the first time on Friday, but Saturday will be more crowded.

Oh, it's the same as the dog we lost Josh. A Norwegian Lundehound, just like our female dog. He's had a pretty traumatic day, but he seems to be adjusting for being 7 mos old. Nice little guy!

how long is the truck with the trailer?! are you talkin $80 both ways? I remember when we had to tow my car from bremerton back it was like $150-160 total both ways and that was on a lifted F250 w/ trailer but I thought it was due to height + length charges. :eek2:

In some cases it can take a good amount longer to take the ferry. And unless your car gets really bad mileage its usually cheaper to go around.

10:09 Friday night, just got back from the LT1 test drive...I have to drain a little tranny fluid in the morning. I will explain that later. Man it runs so nice with the new Opti, plugs and wires. It is like a totally different car. It should be out there making some shake down runs tomorrow!

(15 or so, slips are in the car)
and I rode with some frends too (4-5 passes)
