Where does everyone buy their towles from?? Are the ones from retail stores ok to use or are the ones from say Topi-care better?? What is the best way to wash them?? I've heard they can get covered in lint pretty eaisly after washing.

There are tons of great MF retailers out there:
www.dftowel.com
www.pakshak.com
www.exceldetail.com
www.fiber-works.com
www.ultramicrofiber.com
www.tropi-care.com
etc.
Caring for Mitts and Towels
- Wash them by themselves
- Wash on the Hot/Cold setting
- Use Liquid Detergent only w/ no bleach and NO fabric softener
- Add Distilled White Vinegar to the rinse cycle for added softness and soil release
- Rinse twice
- Dry towels on low heat w/ no fabric sheets

I buy mine from Costco in a pack of 16, but I throw them away when Im done. I throw all my towels away when Im done. Probably a little extreme but its comforting to me I guess.

Well, my orginal question got answered, but I guess what I really was looking for was are the towels at say Costco the same quality as the ones at df towel?? The reason I ask is i'm used to buying 100% cotton white towles per Sal Zaino's directions, so I wasn't shure if all microfiber towels were created equal. Thanks.

There is a definite difference in towel quality from Costco to DF and others. There is very little quality control in places like Costco, Sam's, etc. Their chief concern is cost control, not quality.
Some use Costco-type towels without problems successfully and some just don't recognize the marring. Either way, if one is satisfied with them, that's all that matters.
*I* will never use the "cheap" MF towels for anything other than door jambs, wheels, engines, etc.

Ok, thats kind of what thought, but wasn't 100% shure. I've gone the extra mile on my detailing goods so far, so i'll try to continue that with trying a good microfiber towel. I hope I like them as much as everyone else has!!

Here's what I bought.... http://www.enter.net/kart/kart.pl?ca...id=26&pwidth=1
and absolutely love them. I wash them seperately etc and took good care of them and was truly amazed at the results.
So when my wife was in Costo, she saw the micro fiber towels there, the same yellow ones that everyone here is talking about and I noticed a big difference in quality and performance between the two of them.
I still have the yellow towels, but use them for washing the car, and wiping down the interior of the car. The way I figure is that using them to wash the car isn't going to hurt anything. I'm not putting any pressure on the paint to cause any issues. They hold the soap and lather really well and do a pretty good job of cleaning the car.
When it comes time to take off the polish, wax, or even to clean off the car, I use high the high quality towels.
When I ordered my Menzerna kit last fall, I also got some good micro fiber towels as well from ProperAutocar.com
Here's a good read on the difference between high quality towels vs. PepBoys/Walmart/Costco towels...

The way I look at it, some things are worth spending a little extra on, and spending $40-$50 on a good set of towels is worth it.
