Default First time @ the track w/ LT1 M6

I've raced before. . . but never w/ a manual. I know I've got a slow LT1 and most of you have LS1's but I know a lot of you had LT1's before, and I need to figure out how to launch for the best possible 60'?

I've been told to just take off normal like from a light and then roll the throttle (doesn't sound so great)

OR also to slip the clutch. I've got a Centerforce that has almost NO room to play with slipping it so I'm wondering what the best technique would be? Any help would be greatly appreciated!!
