Thumbs up Magnacharger C6 Vette Results!

Wow, what a week of thrashing trying to get this Corvette ready to attend the Year One show this weekend. Thanks goes out to Mike at Icon Autosports for assisting with the cam, exhaust, and blower installation. We worked to almost midnight twice this week. Conley's Performance Plus stayed open until 1am this morning dyno tuning the car on their Mustang chassis dyno. But, I'm happy to say the car is DONE....for now

Specs:
2005 Corvette Z51, 6-spd manual
230/230 .591/.591 114 CompCam, valvesprings, pushrods
LG Motorsports longtube headers with X-pipe (no cats)
Magnaflow catback system
Magna Charger supercharger with 42# injectors, low boost pulley.
stock shortblock, stock unported heads, stock fuel pump with Magnavolt booster.

The big pulley on this blower made a whopping 5.0 psi boost. Sounds somewhat low, but its safe I suppose. This one has a 3.4" pulley on it right now, I had a 2.90" pulley on my previous Magnacharger car.

Mustang Chassis Dyno, tuned with wideband O2 and HP Tuners:
509.88 rwhp, 456.56 ft-lbs

This Mustang Dyno is about 8-10% lower in numbers compared to the typical Dynojet brand dyno numbers. For comparison's sake, that means between 550-560 rwhp via Dynojet.

Not bad for only 5 psi and a safe A/F tune!

The torque line is amazing on this setup. At only 3K rpm, it hits over 400 ft-lbs (432-440 Dynojet) and goes nearly straight across the entire powerband.

Needless to say, this car feels completely different than before. I did some ~ahem~ test runs at 2am on a deserted backroad at 140 mph and it was scary fast. Raceweight is around 3385 with me in it.

I'll have some nice pics over the weekend, if anyone is going to the Year One show at Road Atlanta this weekend, stop by and check it out.

Those are the factory fuel rail covers. Conley's in Houston cut them and notched them to fit the blower setup perfectly.

Tony

Tony -

Its weird I feel like I went to a club last night. Nah was just sitting on the dyno too long. I need some red bull. Do you want us to host some dyno sheets?

Very nice. So, when are you going to put Z06 body panels, wheels and brakes on it?

no thanks on the Z06 wheels, stock stuff is boring. I might do wider rear quarters and deep dished wheels later though.

Eric, if you have the dynos feel free to post them. Or, I could do it tonight when I get home. I'm tired as hell too

Your scan will end up better than mine so please do. I did not grab any copies of the dyno sheet when I left so they would have to be faxed to me and scanned. If you dont manage to get them up before you leave to Atlanta I will post them.

This post is worthless without pics of the hood OPEN. That's like saying you got a new set of wheels then posting a picture of your drivers side door. Geesh - what ARE you thinking?
