Default question on length of sender in port
quick question...I bought a tranny gauge and the sender that came with the auto meter gauge is longer than the stock plug. i threaded it in till it got tight. The sender is not going to hit anything inside the tranny is it? i just want to make sure considering i have over 3K sitting on the garage floor right now!

It's not right, I know alot of guys like to put it there because it threads right in, but that's the main line pressure tap. You will not get a accurate reading with up to 200-230 lbs. of line pressure on the sensor. The sensor needs to be either in the pan or the return line after the cooler if you want a accurate tempeture reading.
