New Rearview
For a year or more I've wanted to put one of these in and... It's IN.
With a little advice on how to run some wire through the firewall from ssPetess, I got it working. Not as hard as I thought it might've been.

Well after talking to you about these mirrors i bought a temp sensor for mine and hope it works. Where did you mount yours? Where did you run the wires through the wall at? It looks good.

I mounted it to the support facing foward.
The two wires I connected to the sensor were run along inside the large wire loom to the firewall under the computer, which was pulled out of the way to access the grommet, as per ssPetess. I also pulled the passenger side kick panel, A-pillar trim and the piece over the windshield to run the two sensor wires neatly. After that, I ran a switched 12volt hot wire and spliced up the other connections.

The difficult part is finding one that has map lights in them. The ones out of pickups and Tahoes like the one pictured above don't have map lights. I had to shell out $80+ on ebay for mine but it has the Map lights.

Yeh, it's auto dimming. The mirror is out of a newer Tahoe with no map lights. I picked it up with the temp sensor on Ebay for 80 bucks shipped from trademastersales.
