Default LS2 GTO and HPT Why is the VE table not in %

I did my first tune on a 05 GTO with HPT. The VE table was 0 - 4096. I could not find a way to display it in %. I got it tuned but, it would have been better to do it in %. Any body know why it is this way? Or how to display it in %.

Thanks

Because the PCM doesn't store it in % (or rather it has something to do w/the value... the value can't be represented as a %)

Chris posted some more details in other threads on the HPT forum... basically it boils down to the new PCMs have faster processors so can do many more calculations (if you think about it... the LS1/6 PCM was designed in prolly 96/97 ... back then processors were slow and expensive)

edit: ^^^ This was related to the C6 code, not GTO , so doesn't apply here

g/cyl = VE*MAP/charge temperature
Ve is in g*K/kPa,
MAP is in kPa,
charge temperature is in degrees Kelvin.

EFILive uses the cylinder volume to calculate the VE as a percentage.
Changing the cylinder volume will change the VE percentages displayed in this table.
To my knowledge the default units are represented in the LS1 pcm 1.100000 1.213281 1.305469 1.378125 1.416602 1.450586 1.501758 1.539648 1.577539 1.614453 1.655078 1.697070 1.740820 1.775000 1.813281 1.852344 1.885547 1.902148 1.903516

The percentage we see takes displacement into consideration to come up with the values we are used to seeing.

How you look at the Ve units doesnt matter anyways your afr error or BEN will make the appropriate changes to the fueling based on the % error

ok, found the post
http://www.hptuners.com/forum/showth...&highlight=LS2

per chris:
we stopped using the % based thing for these as GM seems to have the cylinder volume set incorrectly on many vehicles. These are the actual engineering units in grams.Kelvin per kPA
