Default Couple pics from the track...

It was the first day at the track this year in the SS... later that night they had a street night, so we stayed and ran my dads car a couple times just for the hell of it...

Gotta put those lights down for the strip/speed events brother.

Lights up = DRAG.

Don't you have a Z06?

Yeah I have a Z06, but I had driven my dads car over to beat on while we let the SS cool off between runs... But we were so busy I never got to run it during the track rental. But at 5 they shut down and re-open at 6 for a street night so we decided to stay and run it a couple times... It's has the auto-on headlights... and we didn't bother to pull the fuse... So we left them up

You don't have to pull the fuse. It's called "Twilight mode" and you can disable it from the DCS (sp?) screen.

Wish I had known that...

But my Z06 doesn't have that...

Best run of the night was pic #3... 12.4 at 120 on a 2.18 60'

I know with that trap it should be easily in the 11's... but here's the problem... It put down 500 at the wheels.. it's got a P1 blower, 224 cam and a ripper shifter, thats it... It is the hardest car to launch I've ever driven... there is a very fine line between massive bog and wheelspin... It doesn't have alot of power down low... but from 4k up it an animal.. so off the line if you don't leave hard enough it just falls completely on it's face before it starts to build boost and if you leave a little too hard the stock F1's melt.. You could concievably use the clutch and feather it around 3800-4000, but the problem is on the stock clutch I don't have the ***** to do that to my dads car... It's just his weekend beater that seen 6k miles since he bought it new 2 years ago... It's a fast car if you've got room to open it up and he can stomp my Z06 on the highway.. but I can embarass him at the track, it's kind of like driving a modded supra

its like ridding a bike! put me in a car with a 6 foot tall shifter, and forgetabout it!!! plus its my car, so i will hammer it pretty good.
i have a good feeling traction will be pretty limited and spray wont come on till 2nd gear at best
mybe i will see if my skinnies fit it, thats a good tenth right there!

For my dads vette? I haven't gotten any yet... after I get back if we find a chance to get them to the track I'll pick up a set, but I'm hoping there will be a couple of camaro's at the track instead...

For my Z I went with the Firestone Wide Ovals... they are cheap, and with my right foot they should be gone by the end of the summer, so no need to but good ones...
