whats it holding? textralia so who here has pushed the textralia clutch in the high 3 digits, and how did it hold/or not hold?? im talking 550+ rwhp/tq...what kinda setup do you have? nitrous car, blower, N/A? im wanting to know its limits...and if you could post how long its been holding...example: 100+ track pass's, beating it on the street ect...thanks

I've ran my gto to around 550rwhp some in tuning, but I keep it at just a little over 500 in daily driving. Anything more is highly questionable until I upgrade the fuel system. The Tex clutch has seen a few dozen 1/4 passes and about 10k miles of street driving. It has also held up to the seemingly endless testing of rear suspension parts and configurations necessary to get rid of wheelhop. It still holds good enough to chirp 4th gear on the interstate on nitto drag radials.
edit-I forgot to mention this is with a turbo and the vehicle weight is just under 4k lbs.

good news, im tring to figure out the limit of the clutch since its not exactly said...i've been told it will hold 700rwhp, but i want to get feed back from the guys with the clutch that are making big power and see how satisfied they are with it...thanks for the post

im wondering if the clutch will slip or just give out on a big hit of nitrous (200-250) or crazy boost...i know the clutch deffently has a limit, im just curious if once it gets close to that limit if its intermitant, as in it will hold some times, then slip others, or just not hold at all...the reason i use nitrous as an example is b/c of the sudden shock the drivetrain see's when using nitrous...but thanks for the feedback...keep it coming.

Ive made around 10 or so passes on motor with no issues. Havent got around to spraying at the track but its held fine on the dyno. With the #'s in sig And my car is tips the scales at just over 3800lbs

i have mine in. and its working great! but im only making 445+ rwhp. I just wanted to hear from the guys putting down big power that are running the clutch and see what they thought of it, or if they are having probs with it...i also wanted to speak with ppl that are running a big hit of nitrous on it and see if its holding the initial "shock" of the hit...just gathering information for future guys that are looking to get the clutch as well. they can search and find this thread...

I still have not put the newest text clutch in that i got from Byunspeed a while ago...
The first one that i was sent would not disengage properly.
Anyway, my car makes 700+ .. so i'm hoping it will hold. If not, i will have issues with textralia. When i spoke to him on the phone, he assured me i'd be fine at my power levels with this clutch.

Clutch capacity is rated in torque, not Horsepower. The Oz700 is rated at 700 lb/ft tq, not 700 HP (unless of course that takes place at 5250).
As for being tested at those levels, yes it has been thoroughly tested at that level, and thus the rating...

Ive made over 30 passes on mine, most very low 11's with 130+ terminals in a 3600lb car, along with about 2000 road miles.
My Textralia works great.
I recently removed the engine to upgrade to a 382, and the clutch isnt even fully bedded in !!

My Textralia clutch works awesome as well. I have blasted many 900rwtq loaded mustang dyno pulls and I have hit the streets with that much tq, but no traction. Looking at the pictures in the previous post I would suspect driver riding the clutch really hard.. Any clutch would give out under that kind of driving.
