They should have them at someplace like autozone or another parts store like that.

i broke mine a year ago and couldnt find it anywhere except at the dealership and at a junkyard 1500 miles away, hehehe. i paid 62 for mine from the dealership i believe.. also, i tried replacing it myself with no luck, the old piece was rusted on so you might want to have the dealership do it so that you dont break the windshield. good luck

Part numbers for GM dealership:

98-02 wiper arms
left = 22154388
right = 22154389

List price is $70, some sell them for less.

You can get a 3 prong 'battery terminal puller' from autozone right off the shelf once you get your wiper arm. I tried various gear pullers I had but they didn't work for the job properly. With possibly a SCARY amount of torquin' the old arm will come off. Or you might get lucky and it will pop off w/out all the extra effort. Just don't pry on the thing with a screwdriver. You'd be prying against your windshield - and that would be bad lol.
I saw a used set of arms on ebay recently btw.

Come on man - removing your wiper assembly ain't no diet! That's like loppin off a limb and saying you're on a diet and your leg weighs too much so it's gotta go.
lol

lol it wasnt my idea, i got it off the list of things when i did a search, but so far all the little things added up to around 83lbs.....17 more and i shave a whole tenth. Truthfully, i like the cleaner look it gives the windshield w/out them...that big plastic peice is ugly enough as it is.

heheh - don't forget to add 'increased aerodynamics' when you're defending your car's diet to the guys at work ;-)
"Them wiper assemblies also cause so damn much turbulence it was really getting to me!"

More ammo: "I wanted to give my drivetrain a break from hauling my fat *** all over town and back and forth from the track so I yanked out dem wipers."

I'm just gettin started: "Sure I can't see so good through the windshield but people KNOW to get the hell outta my way - I got my rep and so does my car."

"Rain? Bah - I laugh in rain's face."

you gotta be ready for the guy standin there gettin new tires put on his car at the same time as you at Big O. you know the guy: "If GM wanted your car to have headers they would have put them on the car STOCK"
just wait'll he gets a load of your diet ;-)
