im thinking it might be the muffler pipe rubbing under the car under load due to engine moving

gt griller dou you think because its a 3600 stall and how can you tell if its locking up,it may not be due to the computer possibly

while crusing at 70mph keep your foot on the gas and use your left foot to lightly apply brakes and see if the rpms go up if not then its not in lockup .I think 4.10 would be around 3k @70

When slowly accelerating u should almost feel like a shift into "5th gear" no theres no 5th but its when it locks up it feels almost like it shifts again.

i just tested and around 40 it locks up then you step on the brakes and you can see the rpms go up from 2000 to 2400 so it is working but possibly at higher speeds the computer is not letting it lock or something because the rpm are at 3000 at 70

set the cruise(sp) control at 70 and it will lock no doubt...and if it says at 3k then either you have a tuning, stall issue or you have 4.11s...IMO

Also the computer will not lock the TC until your transmission reaches a certian temp so if the problem is only in the first mile or two then that could be your problem.
