When i first start up and drive my car after its been sitting for a while, 3rd gear grinds into place. 1st engages fine, going into 2nd is ok, but then when I shift into 3rd it grinds into place. It does this the first and sometimes second time. But every time after that, third engages smooth. I thought it was because of my old clutch being worn out, but now i have a brand new SPEC 2 clutch and it still does it. I'm thinking I might have damaged something in the tranny when I raced it, because I missed third going down the track. Instead of going into third, I forced the shifter really hard into the space between 3rd and 5th. Anyone have any ideas?

My car does the same thing. As the cold weather is setting in this year though, now it does it going into 5th Any ideas?

My car did the same thing for awhile. Now it grinds third every time. I just skip it now. It just means that the synhcro is going out. Time for a rebuild

my car did the same thing, no there is no third gear, that happened shortly after i lost 4th so no its sitting in need a rebuild.
