Default Is it my 60' thats hurting me?

I ran...
1/4 mi. 13.18 @109
Reaction 0.147
60' 2.14
330' 8.000
660' 8.6
Is my 60' hurting me that bad to where i cant make it into the 12's. This is really pissing me off that i cant hit a 12. Should i be in the 12's with my mods? Maybe some DR's would solve this problem huh?

They say every 1/10th in the 60 ft is worth 2 tenths at the end of the track. And I believe it. I'm hitting 1.4 60FT times, and getting low 11's. Put a set of Nittos or DR's and you'll be easily in the 12's.

Yes your 60' time is hurting your ET. If you were to get into 1.9xx 60' time range, you'll be in high 12s.

i run high 1.7 60's and im running 12.6 @ 108 in a stalled auto lt1 on et street radials, but do the same on nitto dr's. put some st street radials on that unit and u will realize your car has ALOT more than what u think. good luck.

Your 60' is ruining your chances to hit 12's but you long end ET is nice for such a horrible 60' time. My 330' was 5.0 on a 12.20 ET just to show you how much you are losing and my 12.20 was on a 1.81 60'

Get a decent tire on there or hit up another track that hooks, or practice your launch technique. The mods you have listed is good enough to get your car into the mid 12's. Do you have a shift light? They definately help and shift it like you stole it.

The difference between you and him is, you've cut 1.9xx and LS1RedZ cut 2.1xx so LS1RedZ has lot of room to improve on his 60' time which should lower his ET, enough to see 12.9xx.

I wouldn't feel too bad. I have yet to make it in this club, and I was on DR's last time at the track.

I'm hoping the 4.10 gearing gets me into the 12's this next time. I do plan on running at a track that is at sea level next time though.

Nitto's are forgiving even when they hook, they aren't like a slick. See my sig below? That's with Nitto's, 4.10 gears in a 10 bolt and that very weekend I cut a bunch of 1.7 60's the lowest 1.74 and drove 200 miles home just fine after making close to 24 passes.

You can still spin on Nittos and basically it's the wheel hop that can break a rear end.

yea.. thats a horrible 60..
for starters, what i would do would be to put some good tires on it, drop the front swaybar (atleast at the track) and possibly some more drag friendly front struts... that should get you down ALOT.. probly more ET gain then all of your other mods combined.
