Default How to get 11s in 6speed Ls1?

I was wondering what mods are needed to get to 11s on a streetable ls1 with t-56. I realize that good driving is a must and I need to hook, what would be the cheapest way to get to 11s? 11.9 is good enough for me.

NOS, I'm not a fan of nos but its prob the cheapest way to go, and then add some bolt-ons and nice set of dr's. pushing low 12's, possibly do some minor weight reduction and some suspension mods should be high 11's. Please correct me if im wrong. Anybody

I would do the following for 11s: (You might get it with a stock motor)

slicks and skinnies with (26x10)
12 bolt with 4.10s (4.30s if you are staying NA)
Good torque arm
Good clutch
shiftlight
bolt ons

Should be enough for high 11's on a good track.

Spray a 100 shot for low-mid 11's and a 150 shot for tens

That list and a tune with some good air should get you close.

I did it with a 100 shot form a TNT f-1 kit. completely stock motor except for plugs.
The engine is fine but I borke a lot of **** doing it. 5 clutches, 5 trans, driveshaft, tq arm. I also replaced the rear with a 12 bolt with 3.73's. I went with the 3.73's because I heard you can run out of rpm with 4.10's, 26" tires and spray.

The clutches and trans are because of the way I shift it. WFO all the way thru the 1/4. I did get a cartech to hold for about 3 yrs. and my newest trans is from liberty (faceplated). I guess its all on how much you are willing to abuse your car.

Oh with my new nozzel kit and a little more n2o I made 500rwhp, no times due to the clutch starting to slip. Hopefully this year I'll have some.

I'm hoping to be in the 11.6-11.9 range as soon as I get a rear end that can hold the power. I plan on moving up to a 4.10 also. Mod's in sig.
