UPDATED:fast 90mm,x4 cam and tub-frontend and gained nothing in the 1/4mi ???
car is a 01 ws6 ta. I moved the ls6 intake for a fast 90mm,moved the g5x3 cam for the x4 cam and added a bmr tub-frontend 45ish weight loss.
1st run
i went to the track luanched at 6,000 and hit the rev limiter in 1st gear went 11.50 @ 122.56 1.507 60 foot i went 101.35mph in the 1/8mi.
2nd run i luanched at 6,500 hit rev in 1st gear and went 11.35@ 122.55 1.513 60 foot and 7.192 102.65mph in the 1.8mi.
3rd run luanched at 6,500 hit rev again ran 11.281 @123.83 1.53 60foot 7.130 103.76mph in the 1.8mi.
last year best on old set up i went 11.15 123.61mph 1.51 60 7.306 100.35mph 1/8mi
i made 24more hp on the same dyno and i'm lighter in the nose. i know hitting the rev in 1st gear will not help, but the new set up is reving faster and i'm slower on the shift light. my 1/8mi is faster even know i'm smacking the rev,but i don't get why my 1/4 mi has no improvement at all. i could'nt make anymore runs because of no rollcage, had to leave.
if anyone has any advice on why they think why i made no improvements, let me have it. thanks, mike c.

i went 10.2's lastyear on a 150 shot. the first time i ran a 10.96 i made 454hp on a 100 shot. now on the MOTOR i make 458hp on the same dyno and i'm 45lbs lighter on the nose. the car should go 10.9's-10.8's on the motor. (atleast i think it should now, more power and lighter)

How about raising your rev limiter so you stop smacking it, or is that your "shift light" mod? Did you always lay on the limiter with old setup?
And how about heads? Dyno's are a good tuning tool, but if the true load isnt on the vehicle then it will act different at the track. The heads could be out of flow under true load.

i have AFR205 heads. my car was tuned on a stang dyno. i did'nt hit the rev on old set up. i have the shift light set at 6,100 and i still can't keep up.my revlimiter is at 7,150. i also feel that i'm not reving the motor hi-enough in the other gears because it's easier to react to the shift light when i'm out of first gear. i may have to watch the tac in first and only use the shift light in 2nd,3rd & 4th gear. the car isnt running anyworse,i just thought with the 24more hp and 45lbs off the nose i should be faster.

PACKY-another story like mine,i feel your pain bro. i also don't like the big tach either. i was thinking about watching the tach in 1st and shifting when it says 6,200-6,300 that should put me around 6,600-6,700 shift points and using my shift light for the rest of the gears. i think this will help my hitting the rev in 1st and i'll spin the rest of the gears higher setting my light to come on at 6,400. the thing that is killing me is like i said before,i made a 24hp gain with the new parts and i'l 45lbs lighter in the front. last year 434hp 390tq this year i made 458hp 410tq same dyno and my 60 foots are the same,i should be faster. hitting the rev in 1st and maybe short shifting can't hurt that much, could it?

I am going to have to break down and get a shift light too.

go make a CLEAN pass and then tell us the results. untill then that info is pretty worthless. sorry. DA would be very nice too.
I don't see how you are running 102 in the 1/8 though. that would be 130 in the 1/4 NA. are you sure you are looking at the right info?

I agree with 383SS. Hard to compare your "best" run on an old setup with your first 3 passes on a new setup. I bet if you got some better passes you will see the results come in line. The tire idea may work too. Also, if you could pull up your old setups dyno graph vs. new setups dyno graph you may see a difference, ie you may be making more peak power, but it may be at higher rpms and have a little less under the curve.
