Default cam questions

I have a few questions for you guys. I have a 99 Trans Am, everyday driver, 400 city miles per week. I was wondering, my mods right now: Fuddle Racing 3200 converter, LS6 intake, and long tube headers, I was wanting to get a cam but gas mileage is a must but yet I want to make good power. What cam shaft would you recommend and what gas mileage loss would I see? I already make 19 mpg in the city. Let me know please. Thanks.

i put a TR227 cam in, driveability is good once its after its running for about 15 seconds (untuned) i get about 19-21mpg untuned. before the cam i was getting 19-23mpg, so not a lot of decres in mileage. with this cma i put down 380rwhp and 370rwtq untuned with lid, mac mids, cutout, LS6 intake, and a pulley. drive like stock, sounds like a beast.

I know I didn't buy this car for gas milage. But I don't want to be losing 5 mpg with this new cam. My main question is how much gas mileage I was going to lose by it. I was kind of thinking the tr220 or tr224 cam. any suggestions. Let me know. Thanks.

Please go atleast tr224...if anything do it with a 114 LSA. If you are going to do all the work to put a cam in, go ATLEAST 224. I went 227 and the driveabliity is so good i wish i would have gone bigger. but i shouldnt complain. The car is probably has too much power for as much driving i do.
