tough one, i'd suggest lookint in the super faq that jrp posted as a sticky. under differences between years. it has a lot of the main differnences that you could compare too.

also, just wondering, why does your sig say 2000 Z28?

Jassick thank you buddy that helped out a lot I now know I have 99 not 2000 or a 98 wich makes me very happy I am in Japan so I cant get my car Dyno tuned here no Japs really know what they are doing with EFI muscle cars. After checking out jrps sticky followed by a dash outside to my new pride and Joy to check if it had a plastic gas tank or not (99s do 98s dont) I was relived to see I have plastic tank.I will change my sig to 99 aswell. Also I was pleased to see on Jrps sticky that I have a bigger cam than a 2001 and as I will only be doing bolt ons I dont feel so bad about not actually having a 2000.Downside according to jrp is the exahust manifold but thats ok QTPs on the way.LOL

Sometimes the model year and actual build year may be different. So your car could have been built in Aug. 98, but still have been classified a 99 model. Usually car companies will release their new model year about 6 mos ahead of the new year.

My 2000 was built in July of 1999. The August 1998 build date would mean your car is a 1999 model.

Yep...its a 99 built in 98. My truck was built the week before christmas in 05 (ordered november of 05), but is is an 06.

Sounds like you have a 99
