Default Help selecting the best turbo cam!

Here is my situation, Erik with HPE is almost done with my motor and I wasn't sure on a good choice cam to go with. The motor Im having built is a 346 forged with an 8.8:1 commpression, 6.0 L heads, and im also running an STS Turbo kit. I live in California so I wanted the best performance cam available but the will still pass the sniff part of smog. Any help is appreciated.

Go with an LS6 cam. Works good with a turbo, idles well and will probably be no problem with a sniffer test.

What about the Lingenfelter cam? I spoke to Billy at TRT and he recommended a custom reverse split cam with a 224 duration.

I think the LPE cam is ~$380. I was just looking at them last night. I like the idea of the stock drivability of the Z06 though.

Running a Z06 cam here. Idles/drives just as smooth as stock. See sig. Makes plenty of power.

I bought one off ebay..a GT7 ling cam basically brand new. They seem to be comp cams custom ground to ling specs I think by lingenfelter or comp not sure.
I figured Lingenfelter knows a thing or two about turbocharging!

Specs are on their site. its got a huge lsa and is not very radical at all for lift but has split duration with more on the exhaust. I expect very good idle from it.

Default cam

I went with the LPE Gt7 cam at first and with out cats it kinda sounds funny to me, so I installed the MTI Stealth II cam witch is just a little more radical then the Z06 and I love the MTI cam. They both idle great but the power band feels much better now. JMO

another vote for the ls6 cam. It's what is in my 370 that should be fired up tonight. I have another friend with one in his rear mounted turbo car. Made 533 @ 7psi T67 (had ported 317 heads) with a 10.2:1 a/f (the BOV line came off and caused the BOV to leak boost). The car makes power to 6500.

Generally speaking I'd run a single pattern 225/225 over the Z06 or LPE cam. Neither the LPE or the Z06 cam have much intake duration vs. stock.

You can still have basically stock driveability using a mid 220's cam on a 115.
We did a 226/220 on a 115 and the cam was very near stock idle.

Valve train was upgraded on this car, so not an issue. Mileage seems pretty good, but hard to tell; car has a built 347 and just gets beat on most of the time.
