Default 0 to 60 in 4 seconds??!!

Well, it's been a while since you all heard from me but I just thought I'd give you an update on the Bird that SRP in Cincinnati transformed for us. We picked it up a couple of weeks ago and have put about 1,500 miles on it already. It runs great!!! The engine has a slight sewing machine sound thanks to the 226/226 .591/591 112+3 cam but we don't mind it at all. That and the rowdy lope at idle remind us just how bad this bird now is. 6,500 rpm in first gear gets her up to right at 55 mph (3.42 gears) and the shift knocks you to 63 mph. All this happens in about 4 seconds flat. The 335/35/17's out back are struggling to put it all to the pavement but still manage to smash us in the seats. Jenny still hasn't quite figured out the 6-speed but managed to keep up with an early 90's vette while getting on the highway yesterday. She said she was in third gear and about half peddle and on his bumper until she got scared of it at about 75 mph. Wish I'd been there and driving! Tracey at Scott Racing an Performance (513) 489-1197 tuned it about a week ago and the driveability is as good as it was stock. The clutch hasn't slipped yet (stock but new) but I know it's only a matter of time. We can't wait to take it to the track to see what she'll do or at least get an idea. If any of you care to guess please do so, maybe we could award a prize to whoever gets closest. Anyway, it's awesome! It's my 5th f-body, third LS1, and by far the fastest (I had an 87 firebird with a trick flow headed 60 over 350 that went 13.20 at 103 on bad street tires.) If you want to run with this bird, don't be stock and get yourself to SRP. They are guessing 12.60 or so at 112 to 115 mph on street tires, what's your guess?

Too many runs in the low 12's send F-body owners out looking for a 12 bolt!

Have fun, but, don't break anything.

It shouldn't get too many runs. Probably just one day at the track. Just 5 or 6 passes to baseline it. Biggest threat to it would be the 3 or 4 times a week that I get to drive it and run it through the first 3 gears to redline (6,500). Thanks for the warning though. Want 4.11s anyway and some headers! and a cat-back! and a lid! and an intake! and a cold air! and a shifter.. and ... and... Damn! I have the bug, don't I? P.S. and some P&P heads!!!
Think it might hit 11s then??? LOL

Sounds like an awesome setup! Any good pics of the wheels and tires?

It feels like an awesome setup too! Sorry, still need to get some new pics of the car up. Been workin' alot lately and need to clean her up good first. Rear tire circumferences are reducing quickly!

Do the rear first before you do any more mods to it.

Thanks man. I figure the rear end will take a **** soon and that will get it in the shop and allow me a reason and means to negotiate a few select upgrades with the sweet little lady that owns it and is nice enough to let me drive the hell outta it. I'll have to post her pic with the car when I update. Alll chics in F-bodies should look sooo good.
