Default LS7 clutch pricing

For those of you who got one, how much did it burn the pockets?

I guess Ill roll by my local gm dealer and see tomorrow.

oh btw, at what point power wise etc or mod wise.. should you look at replacing the stock ls1 clutch? Assuming the clutch has fairly low miles and still feels ok.

I plan on doing some big upgrades next week,a nd wondering if I should add a ls7 clutch to the list (

thanks.

--> plans include, pacesetter LT's upgrade, catted Y, 4.10 gears, 228R @112 cam, ls6 intake, S3 TB.

Any idea if Fred Beans ships to Ontario, Canada? I just checked a local dealer that I know and even with a discount the money is nearly triple the cost of what Fred Beans is selling it for ... converted money and all. I wouldn't mind paying shipping as long as it isn't ridiculous.

Just to bring up a funny experience...

Drove by my local dealership Asked the parts department guy about the ls7/z06 clutch.. and he looked at me as if I asked him in japanese. He didnt know ls1, 2, 6, 7 .. asked me what car I had, then proceded to tell me that he wasnt a performance parts dealer.. and that is what I was asking for.

After some slow coaching on what year and model cars to look up, and then from there we sort of got on the right track. Roughly 450 for the ls7 clutch package, 600 for both slave cylinders. and 14 for the pilot bearing. Then they would do the install for 414. Again I wasnt about to hop over the desk to make sure he had the right cylinders, but sheeesh guess Ill be orderign em from fred beans too
