Default 4200+ guys

How does your car hook on the street and on the track? I know that I have to get some relocation brackets. Setup: H/C car with 3.50 gears in a 9' mt 325's th400 with PTC 4200 and potentially some spray.

Anyone? Wondering what sort of 60's I should expect, because the 3500 I swapped out only netted me some 1.7's on motor. That was also with a dead hook.

4200 is too much stall for nitrous. The shift extensions are so close that you'll just blow through the converter. You'll still see a gain with the nitrous but it will be small. Been there, done that, got the t-shirt.

You didn't get one because you aren't running nitrous with a big converter...........

I had the same problem with my Yank SS 4000, ran 11.3 @ 119 n/a and only 10.7 @ 126 with a 150 shot.

I didn't want the shirt

Well I wasn't sure what to do, because the 60' was very soft. 1.7s with a dead hook, I had to try something different. If it proves to be too much of a tax on the motor I will probaly take the bottle off when I build something more serious for n/a.

Close, but spraying on a 4000 stall only gets you a plastic ashtray. I was spraying on a 4600 and only picked up about 3 tenths in an 1/8th mile using a 200 shot. Changed to a 3600 and instead of going slower I picked up another three tenths in the 1/8th mile.

K. Only got to make one pass, on motor. I brought the car up to 2000 and rolled into it rather quickly and only put down a 1.77 60'. That was with no wheelspin detected. Should I footbrake the car as much as it will stand? I hope the car will cut some better 60's than this.

Ya, if you go with that big of a stall I would take the nitrous out. I'm an all N/A girl and I run 1.61 60" with a 4400 stall tc. When my trans is fixed and working right, TCI promised me 1.59s. I think a lower stall would be better if you keep the nitrous.

VIG 3200 here with 125 rwhp nitrous from launch. 1.5x 60' (Best 1.53)
yeah, with nitrous you have to reduce your shift points and raise your limiter.
My VIG 3200 flashes between 3800>4000 depending on shot size.

That 4200 might not be too much for a motor that isnt stock. Just thought I'd point that out.

My converter stalls on motor only at 4800 on the T/brake. while im not completely blowing through it on the gas (250 shot) my shift extension is only about 700 rpm as oposed to 1300 on motor. Ill tell you one thing it hits like a mother
P.S. can i have a T shirt

The 4200 would be great for a na setup. It's only on nitrous that you start seeing losses in et over a what a smaller converter would produce.

Somebody get this man a t-shirt. With a 700 rpm shift extention you should be in third gear after just a few hundred feet. I'll bet your rpm in the traps is way up there. What is the difference in your et between nitrous and na?
