Default Take a look at the size of this cam for tha LT1

Comp Cams make a 220/230 int/exh dur. and 510/510 lift dur. at .050

what kind of cam would this be a stock Lt1 with full bolt ons.
I don't know much about cams, but I'm looking for a decent
driver with some power over stock, and NOT a lumpy cam.

I have some 1.6 magnum rockers I could use also.

its lopes and preforms. ive seen it in action. you should turn some good power with it too. i would also look at a comp cams 503. i think its 224/230 on .503/.510 lift. also since you have the pro mags you would get a little bit more lift from it, maybe some where around .525. makes better power and would idle a little bit smoother. the only other difference i see in the two is the 305 is on a 114 lsa and the 503 is on a 112.

I had the 503 so lift with 1.6 rockers would be .536"/.544".

for stock heads and stock valve train, i have the comp cams 218/224 .50 112 lobe sep. i have it in a automatic t/a and it performs great. has excellent power through the whole rpm range. the cam chops a little bit but is very streetable, no cam surges or idle problems. i had my idle set at 650 but i moved it up to 800 and it idled great at both settings.

No, but very close
you would not happen to have a harmonic balancer pulley I could use
for a few minutes do you?? I have the motor out and I am gonna spray
my engine bay. For the meanwhile I will do a gasket overhaul. I cannot get
my H/B off.

I used to have an Erson 222 226 on 114 in my old blower engine. You could definately hear the cam, I would not say it's near a stock idle in the least. I did think it had a great sound to it though.

Actually, there was a local guy with the CC305 and I thought the two cams sounded remarkably similar.

I had the cc305 in my 97 back when i still had my car. I had mine ground on 112 when i ordered it because i wanted the sound. I absolutley loved it..I was running hooker longtubes, no cats, cutout and a flowcrapper in the back and it sounded awesome. You could smell my car but i had a cutout and no cats so thats why.
