Default I dont need a freakin lawyer!!!!

Well for the 11th time, my license got suspended back in January...Well I was caught driving on suspended license. I was charged with driving on a suspended license and no inspection sticker. Luckily my cousin was with me so the cop didn't arrest me, I got summoned into court.

So knowing I was fucked I called my lawyer and he told me he wanted $500 for the case. So I said ok, I'll goto my court date and tell them i'm gonna hire a lawyer then I'll let you know when it is.

I goto court and I tell the probation guy that I want to hire a lawyer, so he says ok but let me give you some legal advice, he says why dont you speak to the DA and see if you can resolve this today. I said no thats ok i'll let my lawyer deal with it. Cause usually you don't make out too good when you resolve it on your own. So he said ok when the judge calls your name just tell him you want to hire a lawyer.

So they call my name, I stand up to the microphone, and they read my charges, I tell them I want to hire a lawyer. All of the sudden the DA jumps out of his seat and says , your honor I'd like to dismiss count 1 and find him not responisble on count 2 for $100 court fine.

The judge says would you still like to hire a lawyer, I said NO!! I'll pay the $100. All my charges got dismissed

So I'm kinda happy cause I saved myself $500 by **** luck

By the way my license is still suspended and I still drive everyday

Congrats on getting lucky... that doesnt happen everyday...

but on a side note, nothing personal, but I find it a little stupid to be driving everyday on a suspended license... (I can't say that I wouldnt do it if I were in that situation) But you may want to look at the consequences vs. benefits... Maybe even change your driving habits... We all have to do it sometime...

there's my .02

I was pulled over that night because he ran my plate, and it came up I hadn't had an inspection sticker since 2004 or something. See when I bought this car in July it had a new sticker from June so I never went and got a new sticker seeing as how the one on the window is good.

And my drving habits have changed since owning the Buick but my Camaro/Trans Am days are still haunting me. I have to get to work, so I have no choice but to drive. I'll be getting my license back next week, I just have to goto the registry and pay a couple fines and reinstate my license

Thank god! Who needs a license anyway, those things are SOO overrated!

Might I suggest an MTA Bus Pass till you get your **** straightened out?

Definately not something to be proud of.

No one said I was proud of it, hence why I was banging my head....Its either drive to work or be fired, I work 20 miles from my house and my hours are not steady so I cant depend on anyone. If I get caught I accept the consquences.
