Didn't find in search..apologies if this is common knowledge

I have flashed out the CAGS using LS1Edit
The procharger comes with a Predator tuner

My question...can I put my Z06 back to stock, flash with the predator, and then reread and reprogram with LS1Edit?

Hopefully the Predator won't lock the PCM or anything dumb like that.

predator doesn't lock the PCM so you should be able to read it

However... flashing w/predator... modifying w/ls1 edit... may cause some issues if you try to use the predator again (not sure, but could be probs)

Thanks...I Plan to put the predator in the garbage where it belongs (right next to the LS1Edit)

companies that make programmers generally dont like it when you do this but you can:

flash up the PCM with the predator/hypertech/whatever.
READ your PCM with the laptop thru your favorate tuning software. save the file.
UN-flash the PCM with the predator/hypertech/whatever. this generally "unlocks" it from the car.
flash up your saved file thru your favorate tuning software.

you now have the tune with full access, and your POS hardware flasher tool isnt locked to your car. :)

edit:
doing this isnt illegal.
shareing the bin file of the tune may be. (in the case of hypertech, it IS.. dont do it.)
selling the device (ebay or whatever) or using it on another car, while keeping the tune, is illegal.. its considered copyrighted. just like music.

i'll say that again, JUST LIKE MUSIC... everything you hear about music wise, applies to this... just replace tune with song, and programmer with CD... :jest:

Good advice..Thanks

As much as I cannot stand their products....I do realize that hypertech and predator folks do spend a lot of money in development.
