What size ring gear would a 97 fbody have!!!

7.5 dia gear with a stock 10 bolt rear. all u need to know is if the rear is a 2 series carrier or a 3 series carrier. 2 series comes stock with 2.73 gears and 3 series comes with 3.23 or 3.42 gears.

Look in your glove box and see if you have a GU code. It's going to have a number after the GU. Look for the GM CODES thread I posted, and you will find what gear it is.
