Anyone know how to make ringtones?
Hey everyone, i know a lot of people make ringtones vs buying the very short ones for $5 or whatever. I want the sound of a badass LS1 rowing threw the gears if anyone could help me make one or whatever that would be great.. Cingular.... Black Razr if that makes a difference, thanks!

1st, you need cable to transfer them to your computer. I don't know if your RAZR came with one. My slvr came with an usb cable so I don't know about the RAZR.
2nd, the ringtone can be either in wav, or mp3 format. mp3 will sound better of course. The mp3 format it has to be in is: Bit Rate 64kpbs, Channels 2(stereo), and Audio Sample Rate(22kHz). The files won't play, or will be distorted if not in that format.
3rd, you need to google "motorola mobile phone tools". It's a free motorola progam to transfer stuff to your phone.
and that's it

go there, and upload what ya wan't. Only cost is what you pay for the download. Cheapest way if you just want the 1 clip for a ringtone.

This is the only reason I havent gotten rid of my nextel yet, there are some many things I can do to it with software & a cable, I make all of my own ringtones, using cool edit pro, then use webjal to transfer them to my phone via usb. To hell with paying $2 a song. I bet ive got 150+ mp3's on my I860
