Question bypass evap system?

i just got done putting an ls7 top end in my 01 zo6. the evap nipple on the ls7 manifold has a different angle and will not work if it is hooked to the 'hose' that runs to the solenoid, using with my nick williams 90 mm. however, if i bypass it, it will.

can i edit out the p0443, and put vacuum caps on the manifold cover, and the line coming from the gas tank? what are the cons of doing this?

Well, the EVAP system just accumulates fumes from the fuel tank and burns them off while cruising. I recommend you hook it up. Get some hi pressure fuel hose and 4 fuel line clamps, and install the fuel hose double clamping it. It isn't under any real pressure but still. If you are street driving the car, I'd keep it on it.

i'm not sure i will be able to, it may be too 'thick' and press the nipple sideways, cracking it.

The plastic lines are replaceable with rubber fuel lines (5/8" if I remember right)...what you don't want to do is cap it off completely. It still needs to vent, even if you don't do so into the manifold (damn emissions people)

If you cap it off, you won't be able to fill your gas tank. I just run a rubber line from the hard line all the way to right behind my headlight, and have a little cheapie filter on the end of it so it can vent away to the atmosphere. I just capped off the inlet on the manifold.
