Default Shim W/ LS6 clutch?

I am removing a Spec 2 that was installed by a shop. I took the slave off and there is a thin round piece of metal, a shim.
I bought a new LS6 flywheel,PP,disc, and new slave('01+) from a GM dealer, but it did not come with a shim.

Should I put the shim from the Spec 2 back in with the LS6 clutch, or is the LS6 clutch designed to be used without a shim?
Is there a shim that comes 'stock' on the LS1/LS6?
Any help would be appreciated,as I am in the middle of the install.

Thanks,
Jake
