firebird t56 toast can I use mustang t56?

Default firebird t56 toast can I use mustang t56?

01 firebird w/ t56 that is almost dead. How much different is an 02 mustang t56?

No, completely different tailhousing.

While its true the Mustang T56 has some diferences, all T56 share internal components. Besides the front adapter, clutch housing, input and extension housing, the overdrive ratios ar different, as well.
BTW there was not an 02 Mustang T56. They started in 03.If it is the aftermarket T56 for Mustang you are talking about , they have been available since the early 90s.In those , the entire gearset is different.
