Default Can a car cover scratch/swirl?

Just wondering because i have no garage and i decided to not be lazy and try my car cover out. it says camaro ss on it and the previous owner stole it from the dealership he worked at so im assuming its the slp one. its kinda of made out of parachute material but doesnt seem like it would be the greatest thing to be rubbing on my paint all the time. however, if i dont cover my car up it gets nailed with sprinklers and mineral deposits which leave horrible water spots. kinda damned if you do damned if dont...

Make sure it's not dusty before you cover it, wipedown with a car duster and cover, if it's windy don't put the cover on, or make sure it doesn't flap around alot

If you have a SLP Car cover yes, it will scratch the car. I have 3 SLP car covers, yet I do not use them; because they scratch my cars. I would suggest a California Car Cover Superweave. $400 from www.calcarcovers.com I have 3 of them & they do not scratch if the car & cover is clean, yet if it's windy sand, dirt etc... can get between car & cover therefore scratching could accur.

That is one of the reasons why I cover the car. I hate those spots
I upgraded to a cover like this and it works very well. (4 layers)

I highly recommend it. No scratches and protects the car very well.
