Default Texas Speed MS4?!?

I sent TSP a PM regarding their PRC CNC LS6 heads and the TRex or MS3 cam. He told me that their LS6 heads will work great with the MS3 cam and will clear the TRex but he also said that that set of heads will work well with the upcoming MS4. I sent him a PM back asking about it but have not heard anything else from him. Has anyone heard anything about this new cam? Specs, release date, etc etc?

its news to me, but im guessing its going to be a new comp grind with a fast ramp rate and an extremly high lift probally in the .650's.

No .650 cam...I bet it will just be more compareable to the T-Rex.

We are doing some testing with my car in the next week or so of at least one new camshaft. Jason has one big cam (MS3 size) and one medium (<T2) cam spec'd out and just need to find some free time to swap them in. The final specs aren't set in stone, so I'll wait to divulge that info until we finalize it.

Just remember, my car has never been a dyno queen, but should show gains pretty well to compare from.

Nah, nothing close to the T-Rex, Piston to Valve clearances are just too tight already to get greedy, the new stuff is similiar to what we've run before just a little optimized for the LS6 heads.

I'd like to test them in a few other cars than just mine, but luckily we have quite a few around here that we have access to. I would say 2-3 weeks out if the first real world tests look good.

Torquer and MS3 combined could be an impressive E/T cam.

^---Bump on that. I'll hold off on buying my cam until I see what numbers/times are seen with it.

There is gonna be some money made with cam names. Should have started with MS1 then MS1.01, 1.02, 1.03 and so on. People are always gonna claim that they found some secret valve timing or lobe, or whatever that found some magical power that has been undiscovered for years.

Jordan, sorry if I didn't make it out clear enough as its getting late, but there are 2 diff. cams I'd like to test. One will have MS3 tendencies, and the other one is a little smaller than the T2. We really didn't have anything between a 228R and a T2, so this one is kinda in the middle. There is one other one I didn't mention thats similiar @.050" to what I have in my 00 Z28 currently, but works with the CNC heads much better.

I'll have driving impressions and dyno graphs, but probably no track times. We're at 3500 ft and usually 5000ft DA, so I don't get to race the LS1 car much in good conditions, (not to mention the 10-bolt/full weight car thing). But if we take anything to one of the better tracks in TX, we'll be sure to post up any results.

There has been MS1 and 2, but they both needed valve reliefs cut to fit with stock pistons. The MS3 is similiar to the MS1 as far as power output, it just fits better. I'd like to call the new one MS3.5, because its a MS3 with enhancements.

Something like a 228/232 on a 110.

I hope you guys do some testing on stock heads as well as ported ones.

I might just need to take a nap for my lunch break. I went back and read it and now it makes sense. But even though I said that. That would be a righteous cam!

How much better will these new cams perform compared to the MS3 or T2? My car is down right now, and I wouldn't want to wait for another 3 weeks for nothing. I think you guys need to work harder !
