Gotta rustproof wire mod? I know for the wiremod you are cutting a hole through a painted surface. Do i have to worry about the baremetal rusting where i do this? Anything I can do to make sure it doesnt rust or do i not even have to worry?

So long as you put some primer or paint where you drilled, it shouldn't be a problem. Also, be sure to use a rubber grommet so the edge won't chafe through your wiring or the wiring rub off the paint.
