PPG
Tell me what we did/didn't paint
I mixxed the paint myself, was really cool. There's this huge thing with like 50 or so cans of paint, constantly being stirred. You just weight out the amounts you need, and mix em, really cool stuff

Ok im really uneducated with paint suppliers and such, so you may have to start with the basics,
What is PPG ? a store or website?
I have a family friend that is ultra good a restoring cars, he is going to teach me its just my job to get the paint.
Thanks for replying quickly, but im going to need some more info. sorry mabye I sould have said this in the first place.

your best bet if you are not repainting the entire car would be to take ur gas cap off and take it in the paint store to have them color match it... if the car has been in the sun and faded at all the stock paint codes wont necessarily match the color on your car...

the biggest pain in the *** will be drilling out the rivets and stuff on your gas cap in order to get it off. the cost of paing should not change at all, either way they are going to have to mix paint.. the quality of the paint you want it going to be the determining factor in the cost of the paint. you can walk into a paint store with the gas cap and they can match it and mix the paint on the spot

yea that would work too.. either way when you go to the paint shop they will have to mix the paint.. whether you take an actual piece off of your car or take in the paint code to the car. they most likely will not have that exact color sitting on the shelf for you to just buy..
