Used camshaft polishing Is it a good idea to have a camshaft polished before installing it with new lifters. I was following another post and I put this question in thinking someone would chime in but it was a bit off-topic, so here it is again.
The cam is used with a few thousand miles on it. Lobes look great but like I said. I'm going with new lifters.

wouldn't that be the same as installing old lifters on a new camshaft. I'm confused after following this thread.
